Daniela Fortuna (1993) is a Portuguese artist and independent animation filmmaker who was born in a small town close to Lisbon. In 2015 after her graduation in Multimedia Art with a specialisation in Traditional Animation from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon she started to work on different individual and collective animation projects for Lx Filmes and Filmes do Gajo, where she works now as an animator and background artist. Her work has been selected for several national and international film festivals and exhibitions. In 2021 studied Audio Production at Academia Gerador and Interferência. While her breakthrough work is mainly in drawing, she has also more recently worked with sound and analog photography. She is currently working on her first animated documentary short film.
